I know, I know -- this is absolutely shocking stuff. I’ll give you a few seconds to wipe the goo off the LCD screen. Don’t take too long though. I don’t want your buzz to take a dive. We still have a detail to share.
Treyarch is apparently manning this project. It’s not much of a shocker considering that the two Call of Duty developers -- Infinity Ward and Treyarch -- have been taking turns since the dawn of time. But, it’s nice to know that balance is still in effect.
Call of Duty 7. Is it too soon to speculate? I hope it's on Mars. Just sayin’.

@Tomasz: COD 3 multiplayer was my favourite of the world war 2 settings. COD 5 doesn't count because it's just a cheap knock off of COD 4, except for, of course, Nazi Zombies and soon to be Imperial Zombies.

Who fucking cares if they're making them yearly? Buy the ones you want to buy and skip the ones you don't. I've got no time for idiots like Tomasz who declare that they never even played CoD5 and that it's derivitive, all in the same breath. Everyone I know who owns WaW now plays it over Cod4.
Time to grow up, kiddywinks.
I'm not one of those still playing them though, I figure once you've prestiged it 2 or 3 times it's abut done.
Looking forward to MW2 though, i'm a bit sick of the whole WW2 setting. Shame that game about the Iraq war got shelved. that would be a refreshing change from WW2.
@Autumn: Easy tiger. I've played the game, there is no difference between COD5 and Modern Warfare. And COD3 multiplayer was Battlefield through and through. Hence, derivative.
W@W is better than COD4 in every aspect "if" you like WW2. The story, multiplayer & maps were superior to COD4. Stop sucking Invinity Ward's dick and wake the fuck up. Infinity Ward isn't the second comming of christ. Starbreeze and Gearbox is...

Yep... you guy's are right. Treyarch put out another $hit game. The sales figures prove that, huh. W@W's recent map pack also bombed. That's why it doesn't make sence that they're releasing a second map pack so soon. [/sarcasm]
When is IW releasing a new map pack for CoD4? They wouldn't just leave it's fans hanging, would they?
As for the numbering. I think that Infinity Wards stopped calling Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty 6 because they don't want to share the series with Treyarch or have anything to do with them. Seriously you fanboys sicken me.
However, after player World at War and then COD4 immediately, its amazing how much harder it is to kill any one in World at War. Takes twice the amount of ammo.
at least theyre making infinity ward look good, and increasing the thirst for COD .. and also giving infinity ward time to make their games even better
