Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare screenshots photo

Here's five screenshots to remind us that war games are still all the rage, and that Infinity Ward is still hard at work trying to stay in style. Judging by these new pictures, I'm sensing a consistent army of three combat theme -- take that Army of Two!

The smoke and particle effects look great as usual, and it's good to see environments that make good use of those visuals. Hopefully we'll see more Modern Warfare action at E3, but if this isn't enough to tide you over, just keep watching this trailer over and over and pretend Nex is quoting historical figures.

Looks good, but I can't help but think it's slightly in bad taste- setting a game in the Middle East with all the turmoil there at the moment.......

@ Kaikara

Lighten up...it's just a game and the characters and plot are all fictional.

Also, this game is going to kick all kinds of ass, at least judging from the previews that all say it's "more impressive than Gears of War".

The setting will take some heat. Seeing what Iraq did to my father I can't say it isn't deserved either.

The game itself though is a masterpiece of a shooter.

About time somebody decided to stop being a pussy and make a "modern war" warfare game. After the first 2 CoD I Stoped playing WWIIFPS.

now I might actually pick this up only due to the fact that somebody's man enough to base a FPS about the current state of affairs.

Modern War Far huh...isn't that a Cobra in one of the screens shots? Pretty sure that was the new machine of the Vietnam War...either way it shouldn't be included in a game with "Modern Warfare" in the the title. Or maybe I'm just a dick and I will shut it.
