It took them long enough, but finally somebody at Infinity Ward realized that we have enough WWII shooters.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the first chapter of their successful series that plays in present times, and I think it's about time they went in that direction, especially as other developers have been making the jump themselves. This first multiplayer footage provides a short insight into the Last Stand Mode and as you would expect from a Call of Duty game, it looks awesome and intense.
Its not "Last Stand mode" last stand is a skill you can select when customizing your character for online play, when you die you have one last chance to pull out your pistol and take some shots at someone passing by...
I would imagine that holding X will make you commit suicide. Maybe? I don't know. He's critically wounded everytime it gives the option, and that would be the coward's way out.
Coward's way out basically robs the other team of the kill. If you can kill yourself before they do, they don't get the point. Or you can hold out and empty a clip at them for revenge.
Cowarss way out is an AWESOME idea. Surely there will be achievements for a certain amount of kills and we cann all piss off our opponents by killing ourselves and no allowing them to get the points.
Well, i am just guessing you only get the Coward's Way Out option if you have the Last Stand skill. With Last Stand you are incapacitated and cant move, and are one hit away from death if it's a large map and only a few people are on the server, You might just want to swallow a bullet to respawn quickly instead of waiting for someone to come along and shoot you while you are laying on the ground. And it makes sense to include a point penalty for using coward's way out...
