The Call of Duty 4 beta is about to get a whole lot more exciting thanks to a brand new level cap (16). It's coming tomorrow morning and will allow for new weapons, perks, and more. If you are participating in the beta and haven't been banned from Xbox Live, you may have already received an email from Infinity Ward:
Friday morning at 10 am PDT (1 pm EST) we’re going to be increasing the Rank level cap to Level 16. This is going to allow you to rank up and unlock more weapons, more perks, and more features; including Clan Tags (lv. 12). This is the first of several level increases we’re going to do throughout the beta, so keep playing, and we’ll keep you informed of incoming updates. Thanks to everyone currently playing for the tremendous amount of feedback we’ve been receiving; Keep sending it, and we’ll see you online!
Most of us have been level 11 in the beta for quite a while now, so this is the exact news we've been dying to hear. I cannot wait to get a "Dtoid" clan tag attached to my name. How about the rest of you?

DTOID it is.
The only reason you can't see a fool in the grass is because -- duh -- the camo or whatever is exactly the same as the grass in the game. I don't think it's because the game is so "graphically advanced" but anyways, great game. Probably not going to buy anytime soon (I'm broke -- buying other games).
Well it is a beta plus it's the multiplayer part which, more often than not, has worse graphics than the single player. I haven't seen the new single player screens though so maybe it won't be much better. I still think it looks good though.
I'm not saying the graphics look bad or anything. Just, not as good as previously hyped. You know? And yeah, you're right. It is still a beta. They'll probably spruce things up nicely for the final product.
BTW, I fail at time. Can someone tell me when the level cap is being raised in Central time?
Anyway, the graphics will obviously still get better. The first thing I noticed when I fired it up was the incredible framerate. That seems to be a rare occurance in 360 games lately.

1080i on a 65 inch screen. So, yeah. Not too impressed with it's graphics. Still, good. Not bad or anything, just not insane.

I don't get why people think graphics will improve from beta to retail, though. What, are they going to apply more anti-aliasing? Anisotropic filtering? The art assets are done. It's not getting any prettier. All they're doing with the beta is testing for obscure bugs with a wider test base than their in-house staff. After patching those up, it goes off to retail.

Halo 3 got better graphics after the beta. So...fail? And no one this blog said that the graphics suck, they're just not really all that great. They're next gen, alright, but nothing really shines or anything.
...and yes I'm playing it in HD.
and as far as graphics go, I think they are really good and the focus blur works really well.
