Consider your weekend plans settled

Many of you will have seen the news already, but there's no harm in putting out a friendly reminder that System Shock 2 is now available on digital distribution service GOG.com.

If, like me, you've yet to play the game and are made to feel like a terrible human being as a result, this is likely your best bet as far as running it easily on modern hardware. $9.99 is an easy price to swallow, and while you are at it, take a look at this forum post running through some of the recommended mods. The original soundtrack is also included with the purchase.

If there's a list floating around out there of classic PC titles that need to appear on GOG.com, surely System Shock 2 would have been on it.
