But seriously, this is fantastic. I am going to play on PC, but I may buy the PS3 version just so I can have to copies for the price of 1 :p Unless PC version is much cheaper.
Well, almost anything.
Your theory hits a wall when you consider that
A) The PS3 version has split-screen
B) It comes with another copy of the game
C) You're relying on the idea that all PS3 owners have enough disposable income for a gaming computer.
However the cross platform gaming aspect does. That is pretty neat. I just wished they had done this (or Microsoft had allowed them) for L4D on the 360/PC. Seriously, that would've been awesome.
Besides what VGFreak1225 said, it's also the best version because you can play cross-platform with PC users. And "I can't see ps3 users really wanting these features" makes absolutely no sense because you don't even know all of the features included with Steamworks for PS3.
You complain a lot.
In other news, i see myself pre ordering the ps3 version: if anything that's a way to get a physical copy lol
Is this what it feels like to be a PS3 owner the other 99% of the time?
I have l4d2 on PC, but I want to play it on 360 too, surely I own the license to do so?
With this here news we're 1 step closer to the future I want to game in.
Very nicely done valve. Very nicely done indeed.
I still don't know with all the hackers on PSN though. They'll find a way to fuck it up for everyone.
Cross. Fucking. platform. This is actually a major step in gaming, IMO.
@Haters: Y'all guys just hatin', yeah? Yeah. This is brilliant. At the end of the day; Steam is becoming its own thing. It's a shame that it's not on the 360 too, but that will come in time.
I'm just excited to play with my friend in preston.
who you talking to? nobody said anything! (Besides me saying Steam to take over PS3)
2) Activate on my PSN account
3) Download Steam version
4) HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO. Portal 2 for PS3!
Win freaking win.
