Button mash: Tekken 6 tourneys come to Comic-con photo

What are your plans for this month's San Diego Comic-con? Me? I'm working the event for this fine network of websites, as is Colette, Rey, and Japanator's Tim. Find me if you want to get a drink in the evenings. If I had some downtime, I'd get my button mash on in a series of Tekken 6 tourneys to be held during the event.

Namco Bandai and Tekken fan site SD Tekken have teamed up to host four days of tournaments during Comic-Con. From July 23-26, Room 17B of the San Diego Convention Center will be packed with early console versions of Tekken 6, giving players a chance to fight it out as well as get an early look at the game.

Attendees can go to that room at 10 a.m. each day to sign up. At the end of each day tournament winners will be invited back to compete for a grand prize. You'll find a tournament schedule after the jump.

I'm no good at Tekken, but I'll try to check out the tournament anyway, seeing as how the retail version for PS3 and Xbox 360 doesn't come out until October 27th. If I get into a match, I'll be sure to use my trademark rubbing-thumb-in-a-circle-quickly-over-buttons technique.

· Thursday, July 23 – 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. (Finals)

· Friday, July 24 – 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. (Finals)

· Saturday, July 25 - 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. (Finals)

· Sunday, July 26 – 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. (Finals)

I like your style Dale. Does your circle-rub action go clockwise or counterclockwise? I myself are more of a clockwise-circle rubber.

That sounded way too sexy for it's own good.

I wonder what the game looks like and what that Grand Prize will be. Will the crew be covering the convention with video's and sorts?

This is why I wish I was on the west coast...they always get better game shit at cons while Otakon gets left in the dust with a lot of things. -_-

The effects on this screenshot make it look like Kuma has glowing zombie eyes.
