With only a few short days until Burnout Paradise gets its next huge add-on, "Big Surf Island", it's about time we heard a little more about the DLC pricing- and content-wise. Thankfully, we have got those exact details from the fine people at Criterion Games.
The price of "Big Surf Island"is $12.99 on PlayStation Network and 1000 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE; about what people expected, I'd say.
The DLC is bringing three silver and seven bronze Trophies to PS3, and five Achievements totaling 110 Gamerscore points to Xbox 360. As expected, these awards range from smashing hidden objects, getting massive air, and more of those lovely Freeburn Challenges. Catch the full list over on Kotaku.
I skipped out on "Cops and Robbers," but this is sounding like a must-buy for the average Burnout Paradise player. Also, Dtoider Vegas has given us a link to the newest episode of Crash TV, which you should watch and ought to thank him for.

Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Look at those two poles holding up the tip of that ramp. There's no way those poles would be capable of holding up the weight of that ramp, let alone the ramp and a car that happens to be driving up it. Driving on that thing is just asking for trouble.
Also, if I can manage to land on the roof of a tall building from that ramp, that would make me very happy.
i suck so bad at stunt runs. i played through the entire game avoiding them up until the final license -- and now i can't get the massive scores they require to pass them.
/MEGA FAIL.

Every one knows that the extra 50 cents on the PS3 version goes to a charity which helps children who have been beaten and neglected by Microsoft employees.
Meh, the price has turned me off. I passed on the 'Cops and Robbers' wackiness too. I'd rather pay for a new game. Besides, my Burnout addiction has been replaced by UFC Undisputed '09. When I finally do get back to playing Burnout Paradise, the original game is still going to have plenty for me.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Also, because The Joker is a playable driver.
