Burnout Paradise demo hits Xbox Live: Go crash something photo

The latest in the smashtacular Burnout series, Burnout Paradise, has skidded onto Xbox Live with a brand new demo for fans of ridiculously over-the-top racing everywhere. Couldn't have come at a better time, too, since I've been craving some vehicular mayhem lately.

With my download stuck at 94% and me having to be somewhere very shortly, I'm most annoyed that I won't be able to comfortably sit back with this in time. That shouldn't stop you from doing it, however. Go download it right this second and them let the Destructoid community know what you think ... or I'll cut you.

If only my 360 was back...Microsoft is so slow.

Just put a good hour into it, I am really impressed. The live integration seems to work great, using just the d pad to bring up friends. Although seeing "not available in demo" is always pretty annoying, what can you do.

I got my 360 back from MS in less than a week *yay*, and with a 1 month card, so I can be a gold member for my holiday break and start this demo DL'ing while I run out to my final final.

Looking forward to this fo'sure.

Just as Revenge was not as good as Burnout3, this one seems to not be as good as Revenge. I'll give it a rent to see if I change my mind

Mm, NFS:MW without the crappy controls. I loved MW despite its controls. I'm in for this.

Looking forward to playing this after work. Although I don't like what I'm reading about having to drive all the way back to the starting line to retry a race.

this blew my mind. i love burnout, and this is just so perfect. the amount of polish is unbelievable. locked at 60fps, it looks gorgeous and plays amazingly responsive. like a burnout game should. absolute perfection.

Here Jim, take this. (Sheep hands Jim a picture, and a copy of photo shop) You should be able to put it to good use since you're the "master of captions".

Don't worry about me, I've got this. (Sheep shakes his magnum)

Finally downloaded! And...it's sweet. Of course.

On a side note I find it amusing that there are CompUSA ads in the game, even though those stores won't really exist anymore when the game comes out.

I PRAY for a revival of the Carmageddon series. I hope that this game will distract me from the fact that there hasn't been one yet. I'll download it while I'm working on lame busywork and play it in a bit.

The single player is a little odd, but the Live integration is amazing. Played for 4 hours last night. I do hope the final version ropes off some areas for more traditional races.
