Yesterday, the developer of Burnout: Paradise, Criterion announced on their official blog that the long-awaited Bike pack DLC would be ready to download on September 18. The DLC will be free and, of course, motorcycles will be involved. The introduction of motorcycles is not the only thing the DLC will bring. Criterion has quite the list of new features and races to pick from:
- Pick from 2 motorcycles featuring male or female characters and start on a whole new progression to earn your Bike License.
- 38 new against-the-clock race events – Burning Ride and Midnight Ride.
- A brand new in-game 24 hr day / night cycle that impacts traffic density and available events. (It's fully customisable – you can make it day/night/change the clock speed – it's up to you.)
- Dynamic weather brings an all-new look to Paradise City
- And if that's not enough, we've got 70 more Freeburn Challenges too.
We got the opportunity to get our hands on the title update last month at EA Showcase and we came to the conclusion that it was “packed full of awesome” despite the inability to have catastrophic wrecks while driving the motorcycles. There is something about watching a motorcycle driver tumbling through the air after his machine makes contact with a low wall that is beautiful, almost serene. It’s a pity that such a scene won’t be incorporated.

Don't get me wrong adding more onto a game is fantastic and it will keep me playing but why can one company get away with giving it out for free but another charges if they said that they'd want to give it for free.
Give Me Planes Criterion, and you will have the best game on the fucking market for the next ten years.
Or until SSX 4 comes out.
The idea of planes in Burnout causes my head to explode.
Criterion is made up of developers from the Mountains Of Madness. It's the only explanation.
I don't know how they're going to do it, but I want them to do it.
SHIT BRICKS, I need a PS3 so I can play this online with friends, I've been flat broke ever since I quit Live.
Christmas better come fast, or better yet, I better have A+'s across the board come First Trimester.....
With this update, all the other stuff they put in the cagney update that was released a month or two ago, the island coming this fall and planes, it's pretty easy to see why Burnout Paradise is my favourite game for the 360.
Total Mayhem. Love It.
I believe what happens is the biker will just vanish if a crash ensues. You still see the bike going every fucking what way.
Hopefully this is a sign the pc version is close too. This is my favourite racing series, i cant wait!
