Not too long ago, Dtoider TheBigFeel made a couple of Community Blogs showing off what he and his friends had planned for the Red Bull Soapbox Race that took place over the weekend in Los Angeles. TheBigFeel and friends designed a soapbox based on the Brutal Bus from Brutal Legend and their badass creation won the race! The bus reached speeds of over 46mph which is now the fastest speed ever achieved in a Red Bull Soapbox Race.
A lot of work went into the bus and there’s even some Dtoid loving in the Soapbox too. Congratulations to Team Ironheade on winning the race! Be sure to check out LAist for pictures of the Red Bull Soapbox Race which include some other videogame themed soapbox cars.

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

@Dex: I'm actually up in here in San Francisco. I was planning on more bloggage just before the race but we honestly didn't get any sleep between wednesday and the race. But I'm back and settled now. More stuff is coming.
