We don't do "check out this box art" posts that often, but we make our exceptions. Double Fine's Brütal Legend is one of those exceptions. So, you know, "check out this box art."
Of note is designer Tim Schafer's name plastered proudly on the front of the box, above the the game's logo. "A Tim Schafer Game." Not sure how much that will resonate with the average consumer (maybe "A Tim Schafer game starring Jack Black" would have been a smarter marketing move?). But Schafer has consistently kicked ass with his work (maybe you've heard of it?), so I for one welcome his name being plastered on the box.

I dig the boxart, it certainly has that feel that the game was going for. I mean, there's not much else to say about it, lightning, guitars, hilariously giant weapons, what more could it need?

A good troll doesn't try too hard, dude.
I don't even smoke but for some reason the cigarette just brings out so much badassery from the character.
I agree a more artistic rock style cover would better suit it, but I guess we'll have to settle for the CG assets.
Can't wait to play this game, even thouugh rock music isn't my really thing.
