Bruce Willis to star in Kane & Lynch movie photo

It's generally accepted that Kane & Lynch would make a much better movie than it would a videogame, so perhaps Bruce Willis hasn't signed his death warrant by agreeing to star in a film version of the awful shooter that ruined everybody's lives in 2007.

Yep, that's right! Bruce Willis, most famous for his role in the movie Death Becomes Her, has agreed to play Kane in the film adaptation of the Eidos game. Apparently, he loved the script, praising it highly and happily signing on for a leading role. Of course, Kane & Lynch has always sounded good on paper.

"The script has been incredibly well-received around town," beams producer Adrian Askarieh. "After Bruce Willis read it, he called it one of the best action scripts he’s ever read, and Bruce is an expert in terms of action scripts because he’s read everything over the last 20 years."

Personally, I always felt that Robert Patrick would make an amazing Kane, as they both have a very gaunt and stern look to them. Still, Bruce Willis is a pretty big name so one can expect this film to do quite well. Lynch is yet to be cast, so we ask you the all-important question: Who would be best for the role of a balding, bearded, murderous psychopath? I would like to suggest Jeff Minter. They look a little similar, and are both totally mental.

I think a slimmed down, grittier Paul Giamatti would play the part of Lynch most excellently.

Samuel L Jackson for Lynch.

Kane and Lynch with a vengeance.

Robert Patrick is a good choice for Lynch, but Mickey Rourke would be better.

Robert Patrick should do this and revive his career. It can't possibly turn out as bad as Double Dragon, at the very least, so there can only be improvement.

I've seen Kevin Gage recommended before, and I'd have to agree. If you've seen Heat, and you damn well should have, you know he can look the part perfectly.

Eh, it was a solid game until they went to Venezuela. Excited about the movie though.

I have high hopes for this move, having suffered the first half of k&l (admittedley in co-op), the plot was great, just the gameplay was balls.

"and Bruce is an expert in terms of action scripts because he’s read everything over the last 20 years." That doesn't explain why he chose to be in Surrogates, heh.

Sounds like a good casting call though, I can definitely see him as whichever guy it was that looked like him.

I wonder which film critic will lose their job for giving this movie a bad score?

Would have been cooler I think to have Bruce as Lynch. And some how turn Ron Pearlman into Kane. I make weird choices I know.

Johnny Depp. Seriously, they should just cashwhore this movie in hopes of recouping from the blow they took from releasing this pile as a video game.

I'm predicting that the movie will get 3 thumbs up out of two. And Paul Giamatti plus Michael Ironside are perfect for the cast.

Now Eidos just needs to heavily promote this to a movie site when this gets close to release and then that site can give it 2 out of 4 stars or something. After that, all the ads and banners for the movie will be pulled and whomever written the review will be fired.

I like Bruce Willis and I like Kane & Lynch.

They have the gortune of choosing a not too popular game where any inconsistencies won't get them lynched. Get it!?

I thought I heard a rumor a long time ago of trying to get Bruce's buddy from Bandits, Billy Bob Thornton for Lynch.
That still sounds like the best fit. He's already both cool and real crazy (as in truly mental crazy, not pretending he's so wild crazy).
All you have to do is get him picturing everyone as Angelina Jolie to get his homicidal rage kicked in and presto: You have the living, breathing Lynch.
