Brownie Brown interested in Wii title and Mother 3 localization photo

Brownie Brown is not a hooker, but it's looking for work. President of the studio, Shinichi Kameoka recently spoke to Siliconera about the developer’s desires for the future.

Kameoka said that he would “like to try making games for the Wii” and Brownie is “optimistic about it and looking into it.” If Brownie were to create a console game, it would be their first. The studio has only dabbled in portable titles thus far. Some of their games, like Mother 3 and Magical Vacation never got localized, much to fans' chagrin.

But Kameoka would give Mother 3 a chance in the states. He said, “If we were asked to make one [a DS version of Mother 3] then we would definitely like for fans abroad to play the game.” Then he probably started slapping his knee and laughing because he damn well knows Mother 3 will never become EarthBound 2.

Nintendo didn't okay Mother 1+2 (for GBA) in the USA, two games that already have official translations. I don't believe for a second Nintendo will ever allow Mother 3 into the USA either.

Lets face it. Nintendo gets off on withholding this franchise from North America.

Nintendo can suck my dick.

Nintendo really doesn't know what is good for them. If they sold Mother 3 in North America, it would sell a FUKLOAD of copies.

If Nintendo didn't care enough to get a major franchise game a translation, despite tons of niche fans crying out in agony, I doubt they'd approve a DS version.

Sure Nintendo of Japan would be for it. The big question is would Nintendo of America allow it to actually be localized and released here.

I believe that they are probably still bitter that their work on Mother 1 for NES was finished but never released and the fact that they marketed Mother 2 as a AAA title for the SNES but it flopped here in the US.

Atlus: "Hey NoA, can we bring Mother 3 to US for you?"
NoA: "N0!!111111"
Brownie Brown: "Hey NoA, wanna bring Mother 3 to the US?"
NoA: "N0!!111111"

Fucking Nintendo of America. They're so far from the magnificence of Nintendo Ltd. it isn't even funny. Much as I used to deny it, NoA really doesn't give a rat's ass about the "core" gamer, whereas NoJ legitimately does.

And every time the concept of Mother on Wii, this pops into my head. If Itoi ever pens a Mother 4, I hope it'd be on a Nintendo home console with Wind Waker cel-shading.

NoA is a retarded douchebag. Someone's literally localized the game for them for free, and they'll still never bother releasing it.

I have heard the deal of EarthBound on VC would be a bunch of copyright paperwork for all the pop-culture references (which is ridiculous as parody is not to be sen to trial) but in the face of Mother3, it doesn't have any at all.

Nintendo just gotta press the ignition button so the happy rocket train goes off to wonderland but its all butthurt for unfair coincdences.

I eman, come on EarthBound competed with fucking Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger. JRPGs weren't even popular until Chrono Trigger raised the hand.
