BritToid Ep. 23: Keep Calm and Something About GAME photo

Sup Dtoid homies! Me and my jolly bunch of crazy Europeans are back again for some more madness, criticism and some form of videogame chat. After our weekly roundup we move on to talk about some of the current big topics in the UK games industry, including the current financial crisis of high-street retailer GAME and general awareness of ACTA. Rest assured there are lots of arguments, debates and the like... but we do all love each other really!! Well apart from Sean maybe, that guy's a bit of a douche.

As always you can follow BritToid on Twitter for updates and get involved with Dtoid EU on the emailer. BritToid is available to download directly or through iTunes and you can also subscribe to us there.

Poor GAME. If only, you know, didn't overcharge for their products, relied on the fairly unreliable Royal Mail for deliveries, have poor customer service, and actually sell pre-orders to the people who pre-ordered (rather than give your game to someone who randomly walked into the store).

Actually, goodbye GAME. Just give me my ME3: CE and never bother me again. Unless, your website is still around for the release of Max Payne 3. Er, then after that, goodbye. For reals.

Game used to be good. then it was bought by EB. it started to become sterile. then they redid all their stores to be completely sterile then they stopped giving fair returns on games that you bought that turned out to be total crap.
policies went down the pan and customer service reflected the policies.
strange how gamestation can be owned by the same parent company and get so many things right.
I'm already sad for the loss of GAME. because for me it already died years ago. whatever inhabits that husk now is not the shop I used to work for.

Totally true Neil! But Gamestation used to be great until game got hold of em and forced all their polices onto them (oh how I love harrassing staff!) and made the uk high st into a monopoly.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
