Thank god. When i join a versus match there's crap tons of lag, and barely any humans actually playing.
I haven't had one single issue of lag or anything. Usually everyones got a mic and talks about la noire.
My only gripe about the game is it's way too easy to loose support while hacking.

Got Brink on the release day. Played it for about an hour and have not played it since. I have never witnessed a game misrepresent itself so poorly. It's a completely different game then what they advertised. Astonishing that developers can still get away with such things. Hopefully they can get the game to a decent playable form so I can atnleast gain a little enjoyment for my money. They got me good...never have I felt more foolish than I did when I started playing Brink. About 20 mins into the challenge missions it hit me.

Gamefly'd it and sent it back a few days later. The lag was just too much for me. Maybe after the patch and when there is some down time for games I have on my queue I will try this again.

Never ran into lag since I just played Campaign with friends vs Bots which was still pretty fun.

"Because this is the generation where we cannot play videogames until two weeks after we paid $60 for them." Two weeks if we're lucky. How long did it take to patch the game breaking bugs in New Vegas?
If you give developers a way to patch their games, this is what happens.

Still have this game in my queue. Maybe ill be lucky enough to have it after I buy SSF4 and Reach from GF.
My experience with brink ha been fairly good.
The campaign with friends is excellent. The competitive modes are also excellent but lag like a bastard 30% of the time.
Looking forward to this patch and properly exploring it's full potential.

I haven't had that many issues, every once in a while it's unplayable, but I just leave and rejoin, and it's fine.

Steam tells me I've put 29 hours into Brink so far, and frankly I've really enjoyed it.
In the patch notes they say they're going to fix the major issue that has been effecting me - certain maps will sometimes have no sound at all.
Other than that, the game runs fine for me. You connect to the odd laggy server, but that is true in most games.

Have the game..and think its wonderful. Definitely offers up something great for those that aren't into Rambo like FPS--super team based. I get lag quite a few times but you can switch to a different game or wait until it migrates you to a different session where it will find individuals that have similar connections as you.
The lag will show up if there is 1 or 2 people with shitty connections..but you can boot them if need be.

I know a guy who very rarely hates games, and is super optimistic about mediocre titles.
Even HE struggled to work his way through Brink, which I'm pretty disappointed about, because I liked the artstyle, and THOUGHT that Splash Damage were a pretty awesome dev.

Fuck this game, I can't believe I spent Ģ32 on this steaming torrent of genital effluent. The fucking thing works at least 70% of the time and my brother is a cunt for not being able to play it all the time when I'm on because he's busy have a "life"
And whilst I'm extolling my negative tirade upon all who are foolish enough to read this far.... Fuck the fact that I can't change my charcters appearance so he looks like me in every single, minute way, because I love myself more than humble words can express.

I've been having fun with brink, so far have 7hrs played according to Steam, but I can see how people wouldn't like it, especially when it looks like most people were expecting something different.
There's nothing wrong if you just don't like the game, but if you're going to say it's shit just because of the lag, well, damn, I couldn't imagine the kind of bitching you would have done playing video games a century ago.
Well let's hope this patch works. As it stands the only reason I still have this pos game is because there is nothing to trade it in for.
Because It's bethesda. I might still pick this one up if it drops to $30. Just hope they don't screw RAGE though.

Glad to hear. While the lag has gotten considerably better for me (most likely due to playing with only 7 other players and playing competitive mode), I would hope that I can soon get back to playing with 15 other players total without lag issues.
My first two days of playing had fairly bad lag. However since then I've had almost none...still glad this will help. Maybe more people will be playing online.
I haven't regretted my day 1 purchase. I've been playing this game non-stop. It's a good time with the only major crippling problem being lag (which doesn't happen that often now with an update to the servers). With lag fixed, it'll be a very solid game.
So does everyone just need to copy team fortress 2 at this point? Like, give them a guideline on how to properly balance their game with a decent network infrastructure in place
I may have to give it more consideration now, but honestly how the fuck does an online multi focused game get to print with this sort of problem? Whatever chance Brink had of being really popular has been destroyed by having these launch problems.

That is a huge shame, the game is sooo much fun when you get actual people playing. hopefully the patch can help out, my concern is that by the time it comes out most people will have forgotten about the game. Such a bummer as again, I thought the gameplay was fun
