On tonight's show we have a special musical guest, ladies and gentlemen, all the way from Brazil. Please give them a round of applause:
Hello Destructoid people! :) I'm Konrad Sauer - the drummer in Holus, a brazilian progressive rock/metal band. We play a medley based on themes from Sonic 1 & 2, and we've taped our last concert. I've finally edited the thing and made it available to download on our website http://holus.org/en or watchable through YouTube. It does have a small typo, though: Star Light Zone clearly is from Sonic 1, not Sonic 2, as the subtitle says. Enjoy!
Pretty nice eh? Incidentally we also recently featured another Sega rocker from Brazil, a guy with a literal Genesis system turned into a guitar - MegaDriver. I have always found it interesting that video game musicians select the classic hits. Then again, I can't think of many first person shooter soundtracks I'd want on my iPod. (Hmm, Halo, Quake, HL2...)
Yanier "Niero" Gonzalez is Destructoid's founder and guy-in-the-helmet.After 2,000+ stories posted and years of starting trouble on the front page he's now busy behind the scenes building the future of Destructoid. His story is our motto: "Living The Dream".
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
