Brazil gets a semi-awesome portable Genesis photo

Brazilians will be getting a handheld Genesis system on December 5th. It will have 20 built in games ranging from Sonic, Altered Beast, Ecco, Golden Axe, Kid Chameleon and more. This is an official Sega product and it will take 20 D sized batteries to run. I'm just kidding, that was a jab at the Game Gear. I'm hilarious! It only needs three AAA batteries to run.

This does sound like an awesome idea but there's just one small little detail that ruins this entire concept. It costs R$199, which converts to $113 US monies. If you really needed a portable Genesis, then I'd suggest buying a Nomad online. They're less than half of this machine and you can actually swap out different games in the Nomad ... And you can use the left over cash to rent out a hooker too!

The winner of Destructoid's best of 2013 portable game

I think I played -- and loved dearly -- more handheld games in 2013 than I have since the days of Game Boy. Or at least since last year, which gave me two of my favorite games ever, Gravity Rush and Persona 4: Golden. Still, ...more
