Brand new Final Fantasy 13 scans

This is why I give Final Fantasy 9 props, because it's the only game to actually make the effort to make visually unique characters.

This girly bondage crap has got to go

One part of me wants to spit on this franchise and move on, waiting for the next Squaresoft to arrive and take the throne cause quite honestly Sqaureenix is no Squaresoft.

But at the same time I really really want this game to rock.

tis the sole reason why I dished 700$ for a PS3... better be dam good.

FF12 was... allright, to my standards, story wise wasnt as strong as all the previews FF and not to mention I accidently beat the game @ lvl 40. thinking that the one time I felt really challenged was at the final boss.

(I guess after playing FF11 for so long, made FF12 extremely short handed)

Other from that, I understand FF12 "missing something" was due to the leave of Hinorobu (FF sole creator of squaresoft) dipping to Xbox. S-E might just turn to be a shadow of what Squaresoft used to be...

Don't know what you're talking about with some of the previous ones having good stories. X's plot wasn't that great or complex. I whole, "We don't need the final summon because I have the power to believe" seemed a lot like kid anime where the hero say, "With power of friendship, I can beat anything!" That and the Zanarkand ghost thing was pretty lame as well. XI is an MMO so no one really pays much attention to it. It could be pretty good but most people just want to finish the quest for swag then story. IX's didn't really make much sense. Maybe I'll get back to that someday to see if I just missed something but until then I say it makes no sense. I can't rightfully judge VIII because I didn't play through it. I played for about 5-10 hours and just got really bored with it. VII had a pretty decent story although when Aeries died I was more pissed that I wasted time lving her then the fact she died. VI's plot was good because of the way they did it. Instead of the obvious main character, there was no main character. Like with VIII, I never plaed too much with V but from what I saw it was the standard restore balance of the crystals thing that you see in I-III. IV had an allright story. Characters sometimes found a bit too convinient an excuse to leave your party but nothing too bad.

Sorry I started writing more then I thought I would. I tend to do that sometimes. Anyway, I'm getting a little tired of the whole plot with the villain wanting to become god and heroes going to kill said god. First couple of times it was used was fine, but when everybody starts doing it then I start having problems. I can say Xenogears did it nice with god being just some machine that made humans.

Looks good, still not worth dropping 600 bucks on a PS3.

Well I read in an interview transcript with Tetsuya Nomura that this was going to be the last Final Fantasy he was going to direct anyway. Let me see if I can find the link....

I never really got into the Final Fantasy games, mostly since I never owned a PS2, but I keep hoping I'll see one on 360 (XI doesn't count). Or that Lost Odyssey is a good game, on par with the Final Fantasies or maybe even better. Either way.

Thanks for reminding be about FFT. That game had a good story. It felt like you actually made an impact in the world without being a band of emo teens trying to end evil or something. To be honest I haven't played XII so I can't judge it.

Oh and sorry for my earlier post. Sometimes I get into a ranting mood.

The main pic reminds me of those 80's glam rock bands where I can't tell if thinking the members are cute makes me gay or not.

Y'know, thinking back to Faith's article... it really IS bugging me that out of like i think(?!) 9 male characters we see here, ALL of them look like pretty boys, and not a one guy in the bunch. Seriously, the closest one would be the guy in the bandana... and i'm being very generous when i say that on the account we don't get a very good look at him (so he's probably just about as girly as the rest of them)... jeez... from a character design perspective... that's pretty bad...

Just for the hell of it, just the other day i started replaying the old FFTactics... ah, i'm already being reminded of how damn good the story is.
A rather Believable War, conspiracy, betrayal, motivations from some characters(going beyond the black and white of good and evil). taking things like into consideration like the pressures created by wartime, such as taxes, refugees, and low supplies... as so much goodness... storywise, i really don't think any game could really ever measure up to it

i hope ff 13 comes out on xbox 360 the maker loves the 360 he hates the ps3 (the piss 3) so it best come out on 360 mi all time fave game btw play ff 7: cris core one of the best games you will play in your life.
