I’m sure we’ve all wanted to shoot our brothers at some point, but 11-year-old De-Andre Finley went that extra mile, accidentally killing his 9-year-old sibling after a videogame row ended with terminal consequences.
“The younger brother allegedly got mad because he got beat at some video games and got the gun,” explains Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson. The two struggled over the firearm, and it allegedly went off accidentally, killing the younger boy. The father of the two was outside mowing the lawn at the time of the incident.
The police say they can “live with” De-Andre’s version of the story, since the gun was too heavy for the boy to properly aim and fire with malice aforethought.
It’s not believed that De-Andre will be charged, due to his young age and the fact that it “appeared to be an accident anyway.” Also, to be fair, the younger brother started it.
