Box art of the year? Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai

Say what you will about Activision as a publisher, but damn, those guys sure know how to put out incredible box art.

If and when I see Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai in a brick and mortar store, there's a good chance I'll rip off my shirt on the spot and proceed to buy the game in the manliest way possible. In this action game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, your plane has crashed in Alaska -- and every living creature is out to kill you, apparently.

Naturally, the Top Shot Elite gun controller will come (optionally) bundled with Shadows of Katmai. This thing isn't hitting shelves until November 1, 2011, sadly. The good news is it's budget-priced: $39.99 on 360/PS3 ($79.99 bundle) and $29.99 on Wii ($59.99 bundle).

I recently covered Big Game Hunter 2012, which is an all-new arcade-type shooter in the Cabela's series of hunting games. There is another game in the franchise coming out, the ominously titled Cabela's Survival: Sh...
