Kalypso Media has announced a release date of July 13th for Boulder Dash XL on Xbox Live Arcade. A PC release is planned for later in the year. This modernized version of the classic Boulder Dash from 1984 has five modes of play and 150 stages in four worlds.
The above image is the best looking one of the bunch Kalypso sent over with their press release. Half of the others feature chubby robot Rockford, which is fine enough. But the other half with the creepy literal interpretation of the original 8-bit game's character, transforming it into a terrifying demon koala thing named Crystal?
Hold me. I'm scared.
