Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
and second, it's like you guys played a totally different game to me. Borderlands SUCKED.
Yeah, I can agree there, it's Halo 2 ending bad. You could do a satisfying ending AND cue up a sequel without having to abruptly end, and then do some arbitrary random thing like make Claptrap evil for some reason. But I got my loot on in the game, and if the DLC is pumped out on a consistent basis, I may still hold on to my copy for awhile.
No, everyone else went into it without some ass-backwards vendetta against Gearbox, without already deciding it sucked before playing it.
The game wasn't perfect, there was a decent amount of moderate flaws and a good amount of minor flaws. But it was a good game. It took something RELATIVELY unfamiliar - role-playing shooters - and really did both halves well.
