I like Gearbox.
I know that they're a huge company whose primary goals involve taking my money from me, but the guys that work there seem to have a good sense of humor (judging by the writing in Borderlands), and they've broken, at least temporarily, the games-media cycle. To wit: they announced "The Secret Armory of General Knoxx," the third pack of DLC for the Game-of-the-Year-nominated Borderlands, less than a month ago.
It's available right now on Xbox Live Arcade, and it'll hit the PlayStation 3 on Thursday. I don't know about you guys, but waiting years for a new game is for the birds.
On that note, I liked the first two packs of Borderlands DLC, even if "Mad Moxxi" is still glitching my characters. Hamza's "General Knoxx" preview was pretty positive, and Gearbox are promising all the things that fans have been complaining about since, oh, October: there are new weapons, new enemies, new weapons, and a raised level cap.
"General Knoxx" addresses literally every complaint I've ever heard about Borderlands DLC -- surely that's worth $10 to anyone who enjoyed the original game.
Oh, and in the "dat ass" sector, I'll see your Siren and raise you a mech-ninja.
Gearbox, how could you do this? You already sell digital crack, why would you lace it with ecstasy?
icing on the cake, in my opinion, has to be that the update that released alongside the DLC has fixed a bunch of things too. most importantly its now removed all the modded weapons people were using to cheat. some were soo powerful it sucked playing with those people.
I also like the fact that in Lilith's picture it doesn't even go up to her head. xD
Hopefully I'm the only one with this problem.
It freaking needds one -_-
