2K Games pushing BioShock 2 into 2010 might have been a blow to some gamers, but don't worry -- you'll have plenty to do in another 2K-published title, Gearbox Software's Borderlands, which ships this October.
According to Gearbox's CEO and President Randy Pitchford, there's going to be plenty to explore in the game's world of Pandora.
"If you play it like you're a shooter gamer," he tells us, "go through only the narrative missions, you can probably get through all of them in 15 to 20 hours, if you only focus on that."
Looking to get more bang for you buck? It's there, if you want it.
"If you explore all of the content, if you're doing all of the side missions and all of the challenges, just kind of exploring the world and doing everything there is to do," he explains, "it's dozens and dozens and dozens of hours."
Check back tomorrow for our full interview with Pitchford, who tells us about the game's unique weapon system, how Joss Whedon's
Firefly influenced
Borderlands, and more.
Can't wait to hear the connection to Firefly. If it has anything to do with making your character look like Nathan Fillion, I know a couple of dudes with mancrushes that'll be quite happy with the interview. Like me.
also can you MAKE your own guns? or can you only find randomly created stuff?
Firefly is definitely briefly discussed. I knew you guys would take note if I mentioned it, though. Firefly kind of rules, right?
Also, Topher is right, that is a nice butt.
Also, co-op and RPG/FPS gameplay.
