Borderlands crew plans to attend two midnight releases photo

If chilling with the crew that made Borderlands and delivering bullet infernos into creatures’ eyeholes is your idea of a good time, then it might be wise to hit a GameStop in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area Tuesday night (October 19-20th). Gearbox Software plans to attend two of the retailers midnight launch events, one in Plano and the other in Ft. Worth, to wait out the release of Borderlands with fans.

But that’s not all. At the Plano location, plans are in place to have a 4-player LAN setup and operating by, or around, 9 PM Whatever-Texas-Is-On-Time.

The addresses of both locations of the midnight launches are listed below the fold.

A unique opportunity presented for what appears to be a unique game. As we’ve mentioned before, our hands have been on the shooter quite a few times. If you can read, hit up some of this literature to learn a bit more about the game or watch this TV spot to get proper Pandora pumped.

ADDRESSES, SON

Plano, TX
2201 Preston Rd
Plano, TX 75093-2306

Ft Worth, TX
6245 Rufe Snow Dr
Fort Worth, TX 76148-3321

I haven't been putting money aside for this game (I'm a college kid, gotta scrape money together to buy games!), and I'm starting to get really upset that I won't have it at launch. =(

Have fun guys.

I am one of the managers of the Fort Worth Gamestop mentioned above, We will have swag and all sorts of cool stuff to give away as well. The devs should be able to answer any and all questions and sign all copies of the game. Our store will also be doing the 4 player LAN!! Cant wait to see you guys there!

Here is all the info I have gathered for what is planned for the Borderlands midnight launch at the GameStop in Fort Worth.

Join developers from Gearbox Softwares and fellow gamers in celebrating the Midnight Launch of one of the most anticipated games of 2009, Borderlands. Join us at GameStop located at 6245 Rufe Snow Drive in Fort Worth, Texas on October 19, 2009 at 9:00 PM and be a part of what is expected to be a great night full of gaming, refreshments, free swag and hanging out with the developers of Borderlands, GEARBOX SOFTWARES!!!! They will be hanging out at GameStop chatting it up with fans, autographing posters and copies of Borderlands as well as giving out some awesome swag such as Posters, T-Shirts and Stickers! The doors will be open at 9:00 PM kicking off with 4-Player LAN play of Borderlands on X-Box 360 across four 32” HDTVs in 1080p Resolution that will last all night until 1:00 AM. There will be decorations and refreshments galore, such as free Pizza and Beverages, to court you through this celebration of the launch of Borderlands. Don’t miss this chance to hang out with the Devs from Gearbox Softwares and pick up your copy of Borderlands at GameStop in Fort Worth!

Maybe I go, I know some employees from there, when they were working on Duke Nukem. It is just down the street. But the real decision is to buy day one or not to buy.
