Gearbox's Mikey Neumann will be opening up PAX Prime 2014 with his Storytime Session. Mikey has worked at Gearbox for 13 years, and has created the stories for such games as Borderlands, and Alien: Colonial Marines. Mikey's other work includes writing novels and comics and being co-host of the Chainsawsuit comedy podcast.

He's also a really cool and nice dude! Seriously, I'm actually looking forward to a PAX Storytime Session now since the one Wil Wheaton did years ago.

Friday and Sunday night will see the usual concerts with the lineup consisting of MC Frontalot, Bit Brigade, 7bit Hero, Triforce Quartet, The Doubleclicks, and Paul & Storm. It's worth noting that Saturday night will be featuring a "special live event" of some sort. Wonder what that could be.

We can't see the new Doom yet, but it sounds like a return to form

Bethesda said its big reveal of Doom -- that is in fact "Doom," not "Doom 4" -- at QuakeCon would be for attendees only, not for us Internet ne'er-do-wells, but I still watched the QuakeCon stream like a sucker, anyway. When ...more

Nintendo's Comic-Con lineup includes Super Smash Bros., Hyrule Warriors

Nintendo is calling their San Diego Comic-Con lineup their biggest ever. To me it looks like they packed up their E3 showing and saved it for SDCC. That's great news as their E3 showing was fantastic.  They're back at th...more
