I learned from Mortal Kombat, no season passes, if I like it, I'll pay for it, but I'm not supporting something that requires money up-front with no prior knowledge of the product, or what it will entail. So I think the season pass is a scheme banking on blind loyalty...something I don't have towards any developer.
Fucking Seasons Passes. Fuck off.
I don't care about glitched missions in the next game (as long as they're side quests) but I do care about the Care Package of missions that the Host drops and me (and STICKS WITH ME). I'm actually worried about playing Borderlands with other people because even replaying thru again I didn't want my missions spoiled. Yeah something's wrong with I'm actually worried about playing a co-op heavy game with other people.
Depends on your definition of complete. In my experience, games that feel complete in and of themselves tend to have better DLC than those that have the stink of cutting content just to sell it for extra money. Borderlands was most definitely a complete before the DLC, I see no reason to think the same won't be true for part 2.
That said, I only liked two of the four DLC packs released for the original. The only reason I would even consider this season pass is because I got the main game for $12 thanks to some credit I had on Amazon.
They must also believe that developers hit a big red "Launch" button on midnight of their region's street date, and discs magically appear on the shelves, certified and shrink wrapped. Because the concept artists were really needed for that final second on the core game, to draw the cover art with magical crayons at that very moment.
I wonder if the season pass covers the arena dlc that comes with a gamestop preorder.
