Borderlands 2: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty

Borderlands 2 DLC has an absolutely amazing Easter egg

8:00 PM on 10.18.2012

Borderlands 2's first DLC, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, extends the original game's love for having as many Easter eggs as possible. The latest (I'd argue greatest), discovery is that there is a Big Daddy named Mr. Bubbles.

If you're somehow not in the know, this is of course a reference to what the Little Sisters call the Big Daddies in BioShock. Yes, there are some people who don't know this. Speaking of Little Sisters, Mr. Bubbles has a a friend with him named "Lil' Sis" that you can kill or converse with to receive a special weapon.

Even more interesting is that these Big Daddies apparently appear all over the place, with the uploader of this video saying that he's "seen them spawn in three areas." I wonder what they'd do if you just followed them around and didn't kill them? Like, what exactly is their goal/reason for being there? There probably is none, but it's still awesome either way.

Borderlands has often been described, perhaps not unfairly, as "work." In the sense that it can be repetitive and monotonous, yes, but also in that it's largely driven by a kind of materialistic consumerism. There's not ...more

A free roguelike with music by Banjo-Kazooie's Grant Kirkhope? Yes, please!

I'm struggling to stop playing The Enchanted Cave 2 for long enough to tell you about it. Unassuming name and overabundance of roguelikes aside, this browser-based game is terrific. You delve into a cavern in search of gold, ...more

More Final Fantasy Type-0 HD info revealed, the XV demo may not make Type-0's release

I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Or should I say, I'm looking forward to buying the Final Fantasy XV demo with a free copy of Final Fantasy Type-0. Just kidding! Both of them are looking pretty great ...more

It looks like Indigo Prophecy is getting the remastered treatment

Indigo Prophecy is the only David Cage game I really liked. While it got ridiculous with the zombie-sex and Dragon Ball Z third act, I loved it all the same, and the tension of that first bathroom scene was palpable. Eve...more
