Who knew that there's be this much post-release support for the Xbox Live Arcade Boom Boom Rocket? Electronic Arts has announced today that they will be "celebrating the holidays" with a new update, which includes improve fireworks, Japanese and Korean language support, and compatibility with guitar and dance mat controllers. The leaderboards will also be updated to reflect leaderboards for each controller type, so you can waste time trying to perfect your "craft" on three peripherals.
Additionally, five additional songs are being made available for the game. The tracks are free until December 16, but after that, you're going to have to pony up 250 MS Points if you want to get down with the hits.
"Eine Kleine Rochtmusik"
"Cannon in D"
"Sugar High"
"Sting of the Bumble Bee"
"Explode to Joy"
If you don't already have it, Boom Boom Rocket will run you 800 MS Points, but I'm holding off until they add support for the Rock Band drum peripheral. "And Justice For All" is just too easy.
I dont know shit about classical music like mozart, but isn´t the name of the song "Eine kleine Nacht musik" and not "Eine kleine Nocht Musik"? Or is this a pun (Rock + Nacht)?
Does anyone know if I can download these free songs right now even though I don't own the game? If I ever got this game in the future, it'd be nice to already have the songs and not have to pay for them later.
Are you sure you haven't been misinformed? According Teamxbox. The update comes out Dec 16?

Boom Boom Rocket challenges players to fire rockets to the beat of music while traveling through a 3D cityscape. The better the player times the explosions, the more spectacular the fireworks effects. The fireworks are choreographed to 10 original tracks created by Ian Livingstone.

I forgot all about this game honestly... I'll give it another shot with the Rock Band guitar...
This is one of those over looked XBLA games that is actually pretty fun.
...:P
You have no idea how happy this has made me!
