Boom Blox on other formats not out of the question photo

Surprisingly enough, Boom Blox is one of my favorite Wii-exclusive games. There's something about destroying towers and making baby gorillas cry that appeals to me. Although the series is strongly geared towards fully utilizing the Wii remote, I know I've thought about what the games could be like on other consoles before.

And it seems I'm not the only one to daydream about such a thing. VideoGamer caught up with EA Bright Light studio head Harvey Elliott recently, and he told the site "I wouldn't rule anything out."

"I can't imagine that on other devices at the moment," he adds. "There's something very physical about it. Right now I'm really proud that it's stayed focused on the Wii and I think it's the right thing. Who knows for the future."

When asked whether or not we would see a third Boom Blox game, Elliott gave a few hints. "I wouldn't say never. I really wouldn't. We've really enjoyed making it. This one does have a lot of new features over the last one. I'd want there to be a step again. I want to make sure that what we do steps it up again."

The more Boom Blox we get, the better. Bring it on, guys.

But, But, It works sooo well on the Wii...
I don't think many would getthis for XB360 or PS3.

Besides too many probably already own both BoomBlox & BashParty. To justify another copy.

EA your OLD ways are showing again.

But think of all the possibilities! On the 360 you could use Natal to kamehameha down the blocks on Boom Blox: Dragonball Edition. Or use the PS3 wand for Boom Blox: Harry Potter!

This would sell, and work just fine on the 360 (large casual install base), or with a PC's mouse. In fact, I think nearly every Wii game would work just fine on another platform, barring a few that have required waggle for the experience.

Eh, for now, nothing more than just some flighty speculation on their part. Frankly once the other two get players to waggle their joysticks around in thin air, then it's a possibility.

...that came out wrong.

...so did that statement.

It's fairly obvious that the ps3 / 360 are not viable platforms for a game like this. I could see a DS release likely though.
