The latest ethnic-friendly trailer for EA's incoming Wii dance 'em up, Boogie, shows off the game's revolutionary new feature -- bestowing players with the power to look 78% more retarded. This is good news for gamers who felt that they just didn't appear stupid enough already while playing on the Wii and needed to add 'prancing like a lunatic' to their daily list of moronic things to do. Nearly all gamers have such a list.

This new feature, which I have dubbed the 'Twat Mechanic' system, is shaping up to be a highly successful venture, as evidenced by the detestable levels of humiliating galavanting going on in the above movie. EA has really pushed the boat out in exploiting the Wii's primary function, which is forcing people to look as vile as possible, sweating and heaving as they do. Boogie should, with any luck, remove the last remaining vestiges of dignity from the general public, once and for all.

Wow. That's some shitty ass music right there. Is that what kids listen to now-a-days?

WTF? There is no way this can be real, i refuse to believe that even EA would make this. No one in their right mind would ever play this "game".

It looks like the dancing mini game from Rabbids, if it was played by someone with tourrettes.

(Quietly cancels Bioshock preorder, puts credit towards Boogie)

Am I that pathetic in thinking that it looks as though it resembles something fun? Perhaps the advertisers who made the trailer have won and I have lost.

No bhive, that's just something called independent thought. I too think it looks fun. If it involves behaving like the jackasses in the trailer, I won't play it, but how many wii adds accurately reflect the range of movement required? I'll give you a clue; you can count that high on no hands....

@bhive

I think it looks like fun. I was actually thinking of picking it up...I don't mind looking like a jackass. I have always loved rhythme games, so I am looking forward to this.

I think we can all agree that the target audience of that game does not generally equal the target audience of Destructoid.com :)

But in Jim's case we'll make an exception.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to this game. Everything I have seen so far makes it seem like it will be a great game. Obviously it is not for those who care too much about what people think of them. I think it probably is for those who just want a little mindless fun.

This coming from a girl who is not a fan of the Wii system.

I have no idea what to think. I mean. I wont play it in public. But maybe when trashed at a party. Then slowly form an addiction. Sounds good.

Okay...if the music of the game is going to be like that shit...I am not buying the game...
Otherwise, looks kinda fun.
Just not cool...

This game is just one more reason that my Wii has been sitting in a box for 3 months.

To be honest, I do think this is a pretty good display of the Wii's abilities.

Think about it. Practically everything for the system so far has been about substituting a traditional gamepad with a motion sensor. Throw this way to hit a digital button, tilt this way to move the analog stick, and so on. It's damned frustrating to see so many people herald the "innovative" controller if it's only going to be used like a gimped gamepad. At least this game tries to utilize the remote in a way that can't really be matched on another system.

With that said, this game looks terrible, and anything with hip-hop in it fails by default. Wii Music should be better.

I thought this game was a Singstar rip-off, with the microphone and all?

Where's my singing? ;_;
