The latest ethnic-friendly trailer for EA's incoming Wii dance 'em up, Boogie, shows off the game's revolutionary new feature -- bestowing players with the power to look 78% more retarded. This is good news for gamers who felt that they just didn't appear stupid enough already while playing on the Wii and needed to add 'prancing like a lunatic' to their daily list of moronic things to do. Nearly all gamers have such a list.
This new feature, which I have dubbed the 'Twat Mechanic' system, is shaping up to be a highly successful venture, as evidenced by the detestable levels of humiliating galavanting going on in the above movie. EA has really pushed the boat out in exploiting the Wii's primary function, which is forcing people to look as vile as possible, sweating and heaving as they do. Boogie should, with any luck, remove the last remaining vestiges of dignity from the general public, once and for all.

Am I that pathetic in thinking that it looks as though it resembles something fun? Perhaps the advertisers who made the trailer have won and I have lost.
No bhive, that's just something called independent thought. I too think it looks fun. If it involves behaving like the jackasses in the trailer, I won't play it, but how many wii adds accurately reflect the range of movement required? I'll give you a clue; you can count that high on no hands....
I think it looks like fun. I was actually thinking of picking it up...I don't mind looking like a jackass. I have always loved rhythme games, so I am looking forward to this.
Honestly, I'm looking forward to this game. Everything I have seen so far makes it seem like it will be a great game. Obviously it is not for those who care too much about what people think of them. I think it probably is for those who just want a little mindless fun.
This coming from a girl who is not a fan of the Wii system.
To be honest, I do think this is a pretty good display of the Wii's abilities.
Think about it. Practically everything for the system so far has been about substituting a traditional gamepad with a motion sensor. Throw this way to hit a digital button, tilt this way to move the analog stick, and so on. It's damned frustrating to see so many people herald the "innovative" controller if it's only going to be used like a gimped gamepad. At least this game tries to utilize the remote in a way that can't really be matched on another system.
With that said, this game looks terrible, and anything with hip-hop in it fails by default. Wii Music should be better.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Just not cool...
