After watching this, I realized that I've never really thought of Bomberman (speaking in terms of its early iterations) as a "casual" game but it totally is. It's geared towards a group experience with simple rules that anybody can understand in seconds and have a firm grasp of in a few rounds. It sounds so silly to consider it otherwise now that I think about it.
