In an interview with the Guardian Unlimited, legendary actor Bob Hoskins talks about his life, career, curses like a sailor and more importantly to us, talks about the worst movie he ever did: He accepts there have been flops, and films he's detested, but that's the nature of the game. "The worst thing I ever did? Super Mario Brothers. It was a f*ckin' nightmare. The whole experience was a nightmare. It had a husband-and-wife team directing, whose arrogance had been mistaken for talent. After so many weeks their own agent told them to get off the set! F*ckin' nightmare. F*ckin' idiots."
Wow, a movie director butchering a videogame franchise, that's a shocker. I've only seen it a couple of times when I was really young so I can't exactly remember how horrible the movie really was. Plus, after reading Reverend Anthony's legendary article, Why the Super Mario movie is an under appreciated masterpiece, I don't think I can ever hate this movie. [Via Kotaku]
