Blue Dragon gets some free download content photo

Horse armor be damned, this new DLC for Blue Dragon won’t cost you a dime. Once installed, you’ll have 3 new levels of difficulty at your disposal:

Game Plus - Allows players to start their game over using a saved game from near the end of "Blue Dragon"
Hard game - Allows players to play at a difficulty level that is twice as high as the original
Impossible game - The ultimate in difficulty, meant to be played starting at level 50 or higher

While I have not played Blue Dragon outside of the demo, I’ve heard that the game is a piece of cake, so the option to raise the difficulty should be a much needed improvement -- unless you’re all for easier achievements.

Is anyone willing to testify? Is Blue Dragon too easy for its own good?

yah the game is a little on the easy side. An epic hard mode would be a lot of fun. I will download it and try it out

I've been playing since day one on hard difficulty (got the DLC from the Hong Kong marketplace) and the difficulty is very rewarding. Typical for normal fights and very difficult for boss fights (as they should be). I can imagine that normal difficulty is snoringly easy. This is a must get for anyone looking to play this game and be at all challenged in doing so.

I'm sorry but lets call this so called "free download content" by its real name. A PATCH.

IMPOSSIBLE? Sounds like a challenge.

are there any acheivements attached to this...i find it to be a bit stupid to have people try to get an achievement on impossible when its 5 times easier on normal

It'd actually be easier to get a bunch of achievements on the harder versions - presumably starting at harder difficulties will net you more experience, meaning it's easier to level up and get the achievements for reaching the maximum classes.

I'm sure it'd beat the mindless grinding I'm going through right now, anyway.
