Okay I was on the fence about this game, but after seeing it in action, I'm pretty sure that I'll be getting it. It looks like the Hellsing anime come to life and given better animation! Again, if the gameplay is good, must buy regardless of the price for me.

I kinda hate when people change the looks of a character. Haircut? Fine. Clothes? Totally ok with me. But why would you change hero or heroine's body? The thougth of Reyne going to hospital to have a breast reduction kinda ruins the character, no?
Her tits are bigger(for her stature) and she has slutty idle-animations, yeah, that's sooooo SOPHISTICATED. She wasn't 'sleazy', she was sexual. The only reason it's seen as sleaze, is that the game came out at a time where videogame characters were over-exaggerated caricatures (Duke Nukem, Lara Croft, etc.).
I keep checking articles on this game wanting to find something I like, being a long-time fan of the series, but it seems that they keep rubbing me the wrong way. I just can't place it.

I actually prefer the new design of Rayne. The previous games not only lacked quality, but the main character was so over sexualized that I found it hard to even get into.
I don't mind at all. Frankly, it's probably a step in the right direction since Tomb Raider's new devs had the balls to do the same thing.

By the way, Wayforward is an awesome game company and I really like their games. Thought I'd make that clear cause I didn't want to read as too negative over something stupid like whether or not she's sexy enough.

what really bothers me about the game is that it looks very cool and stuff, and then the scoring windows kick in and fill up 1/4 of the screen... this being a HD game, I really wonder why any designer would think we'd not be able to read it if it was half of that, or less...
... she doesn't have a bare midriff anymore. That's the big redesign? The rest of the costume is very much the same. I don't even remember her breasts being disproportionately big in the original games.
I like Rayne as a sexual creature, it made her feel very much like a vampire, like a confident predator toying with her prey. I also liked the sucking blood mechanism for health regen, especially when you could use an enemy as a shield at the same time.
Really, this just sounds like marketing. I don't see much of a redesign at all.

I approve of this. It's nice to see developers respecting a female character enough to not overly-objectify her.
The game looks sweet. Like a Castlevania sort of game. Although the Teen rating is pretty gay. M rating or no es bueno.
