About Me
I've been playing video games for many, many years, starting at the innocent age of 4 (back in 1981). I have no affiliation to any one system; if a console has good games, I'm there. Currently own an NES (yes, it works), Genesis, DS Lite, Gamecube, PS2, Wii, and 360...oh, and a PC, but I rarely play games on it. With well over 300 games for all systems in my collection...pretty sure it's approaching 400 now.

As of late, my 360 has been getting as much play-time as my PS2 had. My poor Wii hasn't been touched in a long time...heh heh. He said "wii".

Hooray.

I said...hooray.

For my win on Chad's "The Great Retro Quiz! .23: Zelda II: The Adventure of Link":

'Bout time my knowledge of the red-headed step-child of the Zelda universe came in handy. Not counting the CD-i games...they are like the bald, albino street urchins that somehow made it into your house and refuse to leave even after you feed them rat poison.

Do Not Want: Guinness World Records - The Game

Okay, seriously...what is with all of this shovelware on the Wii and DS? I know both are the "it" systems at the moment, but as someone else said (possibly here, possibly somewhere else), it's getting a lot like the pre-crash Atari days. Here's a quote from the Gamasutra article about the next POS Wii/DS game, Guinness World Records:

Guinness World Records hopes to enable gamers of all ages to play through activities and accomplishments featured in the Guinness World Records books, such as growing the longest fingernails, walking a tightrope across the Grand Canyon, and eating a jumbo jet.

Holy shit. I know I've been waiting for a game that will let me grow my fingernails to hideous new lengths. I can just see the instructions for that mini-game:

1. Pick up the remote and press 'A'.
2. Put down remote and watch your Mii grow its fingernails.
3. You win!

...yikes...

And eating a jumbo jet? Really? Sounds like a frakin' blast!

I repeat: DO...NOT...WANT.

Sad that this will probably outsell Zack & Wiki, Boom Blox, and No More Heroes. Screw you, soccer-moms and old people.

Or a "you just died because you ate a jumbo jet in an attempt to get into a book no one cares about anymore" mini-game.

I remember that dude who ate the jet. That crazy bitch ate every non-food item known to man. Oh and this game will blow.

ugh, the trend of disappointing games continues for the Wii, there has to be some sort of quality control for these. Seriously, I want to watch someone pitch this POS game to developers and keep a straight face.
