Looking at this picture gives me a panic attack..
My gaming backlog is rediculous. I just can't seem to get a handle on it. Between my job
and family obligations, it is getting harder and harder to find time to sit down and play
through my games. Even if I could take a few weeks off of work, a true playing binge
would only scratch the surface of titles that I own but haven't completed.
For instance, right now I am playing Etrian Odyssey. I have almost completed the game,
so that's good... but when I finish it in a few days, Etrian Odyssey II will finally get cracked
open, delaying my completion of Snake Eater and the newly released MGS 4. Also on the
list, is my huge collection of Atlus titles. Lately I've been thinking that organizing my
games into a queue might yield more enjoyable experiences. I've got to make a list and
stick to it! So here it is..
1. Etrian Odyssey
2. Etrian Odyssey 2 (un-opened)
3. MGS3: Snake Eater (50% completed)
4. MGS4: Guns of the Patriot (un-opened)
5. Persona 3: FES (75% Complete)
Oh yeah, the new tactics comes out in a few days... sooo I'll have to throw that in
somewhere... the list will change and grow, but this is a good start for now..
Am I crazy for creating a structure for my gaming? I don't think so... and so it goes..
What are all of your backlogs like? How do you pick what games you will play and what will
get put on the back-burner?
1. MGS4 (on the beginning of last act)
2. Lost Odyssey (on last disc)
3. Ninja Gaiden 2 (past the half way mark)
4. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (not open yet)
5. Odin Sphere (not open yet)
6. Patapon (not really started)
7. God of War for PSP (on second level)
8. Ninja Gaiden DS (almost done)
9. Crush on PSP (almost done)
10. EDF 2017 (not open)
Hell there's a loads more but these are the ones I will tackle first. MGS4, NG2, and LO being on the top of my list.
Moral of these story: I buy way too many fucking games.
On a side note, my frontlog is large, too.
I don't really need to sit down and make a list for games I haven't finished - I just glance at the shelf and start feeling guilty for not doing them justice and playing them enough.
But here's a list anyway: my top three right now are Ninja Gaiden II, Rock Band guitar career on expert (fuck you, Green Grass and High Tides, about 80% into the song!), and finishing the guilds and main quest of Oblivion.
We aims to please. I know it was too easy too.
1. Persona 3 (about halfway done)
2. Odin Sphere (unopened)
3. Twilight Princess (unopened)
4. EDF 2017 (about 75% complete)
5. Geometry Wars Galaxies (maybe about 5-10 hours of gameplay in there)
5. Burnout Revenge
All of the games I need to ge through are older. The only reason I got to play Rock Band was through the generosity of my neighbor, I can't afford to buy new games anymore ;_;
Super Metroid

Lunar 2 (Unopened)

There's probably a lot more; that's just from glancing at the shelf next to me
