(Warning no structure... typed as remembered)

Next up folks will be a lovely little tale from when me and the fine folks that i was working with was closing one night.

So it was me, my assistant manager, third key, and another GA.... Sunday so we close at 6 o'clock. All was going fine untill.. and i will stop and interrupt this story for just a moment. But please.... if anyone knows why exactly people can not read the store hour signs on the doors of the stores is beyond my comprehension.

The sign clearly states "MONDAY - SATURDAY = 10PM-9PM(none holiday hours)// SUNDAY = 11AM-6PM" and yes people still insist on calling after we close asking "Hey if i come up their right now will i be able to do a trade real quick" when we specifically stated that when after we do the "Thank you calling..." bull that we informed them that we just closed... they continue.

Then its the fuckwads that pull on the door....... So continueing my story from above. Then this guy came up "HEY CAN I JUST GET SOMETHING REAL QUICK!?"..... my ASM looked at the time and she looked at us saying "He does know its 6:30pm right?...... SORRY SIR WE ARE CLOSED".

"PLEASE I KNOW WHAT I WANT, I PROMISED MY GIRLFRIEND THAT I WOULD GET HER A WII" (we actually had some in stock that day surprisingly) "Again sorry sir you'll have to come back tomorrow"..... he gets slightly frustrated then comes back in abit.

"I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS TONIGHT I DROVE ALL THE WAY OVER HERE FROM (he wasnt very speaking properly so we didnt get the place) TO GET IT FOR HER! I PROMISED HER I WOULD GET A WII!" ASM = "Again sir we cant do anything right now; our registers are closed; you will have to come back tomorrow"

So the moron continues this back and forth bullshit walking to his car... and pulling on the door... Then finally, he starts crying and his story changes... "YOU HAVE BROKE A LITTLE GIRLS HEART TONIGHT, ITS HER BIRTHDAY AND YOU BROKE HER HEART"......

We were mainly trying are best not to laugh while the guy has been 1 changing his story to the fact that he supposedly dates little girls.... and he's crying in front of a gamestop when he could have just came back tomorrow.... Which was when my ASM almost called the cops on him for basically almost not letting us leave the store but he drove off after looking like a bitch in public.

Being a employee for the 'stop corporation for almost half a decade...... holy shit.... i didn't realize that till now. God that makes me sad....

Anyways as i was saying; I have seen and heard many things that, well... just unnerve me from the point that people actually think this way. Take for instance one of my more recent ventures. I was working a mid-day to close shift and one guy comes in with some trades. OK you maybe thinking "hah hah... look this lowly GS employee is bitching about his job.. i hate GS anyway so why the hell do i care or want to listen to you" and for that i may agree with you. But i am a avid gamer like the many that inhabit the interwebs that view the common folk that come into game stores are fucking morons that need to be burned and euthanized... so bear with me. This guy i have never seen before... never met... never even knew he existed before he came in.

"I am here to trade in my Xbox360 because im tired of Microsoft and their dying red ring consoles, and Blu-Ray has won so i want a Ps3"..... Stop and read that again....

Because Blu-Ray has won.. you are selling your system to buy another system because of movies... Not for better games (at the time MGS4 had not come out yet.... and yes yes Uncharted is amazing dont want to hear "OMG YOU SAID NOTHING ABOUT THE AMAZING UNCHARTED" I know.. shhhh)

So i explained to the guy "I would'nt do that man, Blu-Ray yes has won the format war against HD-DVD but it doesnt really help the Ps3 besides that you get to watch High-Def format movies. Nothing really yet has taken advantage of the space that is available to make Blu-Ray viable besides having uncompressed audio for games making them sound better" Also this was at the time that EA Sports titles.. ran and looked better on the 360.

But without much digressing after explaining all that he still insisted on making the switch.

Trade in price on the 360 at the time was i think in the ball park of 170 with a wireless controller....plus he had all his games and some other crap. But it ended up being that he traded in some of the 360 titles just to turn around and rebuy them... on the ps3 for full price and get less.

Why waste the cash... he got about 290-340 in store cred..... the ps3 was still 499 at the time... a smile went upon my face as he also found out the ps3 doesnt come with component cables nor a headset, or other fancy things that you get included in the box.

Now that was just a small tale that as you can look above has no structure when it comes to me recolating from memory. And yes i am not a x-bot fanboi.... or whatever their called now... I just so happen to own all systems and play them equally... but like the xbox more.

No Xbox 360 Spring Dashboard update; Underperforming XBLA titles to be removed

Crappy XBLA delisting = i own some of those..... thats not good. Its a online store there is no reason for it.
