Valve has been in my mind ever since back in 1997 when my uncle brought a pirated copy of half life 1 (yes I know, it's a crime.)
I played it and it was like love at first site, when half life 2 was announced in 2004 my fanboy meter exploded couldn't wait but unfortunately back in 2004 my computer was a piece of crap, and I didn't have a xbox at the time either, so I was screwed, but of course I got my xbox along with the game, I gotta admit the second one I liked alot more, later on I got a new pc and added a new graphics card and NOW I own every single game valve has ever developed in steam. do I still play them all? not really after all I would choose team fortress 2 more than classic any day. half life in my personal opinion has the greatest story line of video gaming, the second greatest is fallout, Of course this is my personal opinion you don't have to get medieval on me.

one more thing, ALAN MOORE IS GOD! well the graphic novel god.

I used to record music in a recording studio a few years ago:

mario hacking talents (the super mario omega review)

http://www.freewebs.com/higsby/

this is the home of an amazing mario hack game called (super mario omega) it's been in development for 1 and a half year by a very good friend I know called Higsby. Mario Hacking is modifying the contents of an original mario game to make it new and different game.

I asked Higsby "do you change the storyline of the game?"

"well mario doesnt really have a story line (just save the princess and whatever). although some people do create their own storylines by adding in custom bosses and items to collect. Just about every mario hack has a new storyline because many people are getting sick of the whole save the princess thing"

I do agree Im tired of saving that bimbo myself...ANYWAYS!

I've managed to watch Higsby create and play this once and the gameplay is just intense I mean this was alot harder than the originals Higsby added secrets and puzzles that will just blow you're mind.

a level design contest SNN reviewed this awesome hack and they said this
SNN's Comments:

CREATIVITY: 8.5 - I really liked the use of the Koopas, and the non-linearity DIFFICULTY: 8.5 - Stayed consistent throughout APPEAL: 9 - Great choice of colors for the palettes FUNCTIONALITY: 9 - Good, though a lot of bushes were cut off FUN: 8.5 - It was quite an enjoyable playthrough SNN's SYNOPSIS: Hey, this level was cool. The use of Koopas throughout actually didn't get repetitive either, surprisingly. Probably because they were all used in pretty unique ways. I liked all of the hidden secrets that were placed in this level too - it really knocked the replay value up. Be careful with graphical glitches though!OVERALL: 43.5/50 - 87% FirePhoenix's CommentsCreativity: 9/10 Difficulty: 9/10Appeal: 10/10Functionality: 9/10Fun: 10/10 Overall: 47/50 Comments: The palettes were nice and soothing to the eyes. I also liked how you had to find a secret area with the Blue POW then find another one in the area and the Silver POW when you exit to find the secret exit. Creative little puzzle. Difficulty was well-balanced and the level was just fun in general.

Higsby did not win this amazing contest but he was one of the top 5! amazing!

hacks are pretty much opened for anyone (as for me I wanna try it out later.)

here is the map of the game

"a good hack is made with many different programs" " Higsby says

as he used all of these programs to work on this hack:

Translhextion, SMW Player Tilemap Editor, SMW Status Bar Editor, Tile Layer Pro, SMW Tweaker, Blocktool, Spritetool, AddMusic, and many different patches.

the hack is not finished yet he is still working on it but it will be done (sooner than Duke nukem forever im sure.)

IF YOU WANT ANY MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS GAME GO TO:
http://www.freewebs.com/higsby/

or If you wanna pull off you're very own hack well go search up the programs and how they are used cause I have NO CLUE!

Interesting. My only concern is that the screens look a little... cluttered- too many different styles and colors going on in that underground level, for example, but it'll be interesting to see how it plays.
