I'm an amatuer sociologist. What that means is that I study groups of people, learn their ways, their customs, and their traditions. I then use this information to make fun of them.
I've always liked snipers. Well I've never really met any but I've always enjoyed the idea of snipers. Ever since I was a kid and read books about the exploits of Carlos Hathcock I would day dream about creeping through the jungle and putting the enemy in my scope. Imagine how sad I was when I began playing games in the FPS genre and discovered that I totally sucked at playing a sniper. It only became worse when I realized there were people who rocked at it and those people would kill me without me ever seeing them. In honor of all the video game snipers who ever scored a head shot off me I've made a collection of sniper videos from the games I played most and died to snipers the most. These aren't the best displays of the skill, just examples including some great shots here and there.
Back when I was a youngster we played Team Fortress Classic. That little red dot was a signal for death and I dreaded seeing it flash over my screen. Here is a bit of that with Ozzy as the sound track.
After years of waiting we were given Team Fortress 2, in which the sniper system was changed. It is however no less bad ass. Once again we have Ozzy, which rules.
Along with Team Fortress Classic I played Counter-Strike. This is where I learned to hate snipers the most. Not only did this game foster a hate for snipers, but it was the beginning of my hatred for the AWP.
CounterStrike:Source only continued to make my hatred of AWP's grow. This isn't the best display of skill but Iron Maiden and the Body Count insert make this one worth watching.
Oh Halo, how wrong I was when I believed that because I was good at the single player campaign I would be good at playing online.
Then Halo 2 came and I was owned even harder, more often. Thanks Xbox Live.
Rainbow Six Vegas. There were times I was unstoppable while playing this game. Then I'd get popped in the head from some unseen location and it would totally mess up my flow.
WarRock. I just started playing this game, still getting the hang of it. If this video is any indication I'll get frustrated like I always have.
