Hey, I'm Matt from New York. I play a ton of video games. It all began with the Colecovision (since my dad was a game tester for the company). It eventually broke, and the company itself had already gone out of business. A long time later, I got an N64. Super Mario 64 remains as one of my favorite games. Naturally, I was very excited when the Gamecube came out. Unfortunately the console didn't have much going for it. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Smash Bros. and Melee was great. Years later I would finally end up buying a PS2. By that time, the game library had become ridiculously huge.
The next gen came along and I didn't jump on the 360 early-adopter train. I ended up getting the Wii first, as I had been watching every bit of news on the Nintendo Revolution with major anticipation. Nintendo completely dropped the ball. Now it gathers dust, the only game I hadn't sold off yet being Brawl. I got an Xbox 360 and at the time I was amazed at how good everything was. It would be a few years until I realized how much I was truly being ripped off. This isn't to say I wasn't a fan of the games; Halo remains one of my favorites. Sadly, once I withstood the terrible atrocity that was Gears of War 2 multiplayer, I canceled Live and the constant Microsoft nickel-and-diming ended. I have a PS3 also, the console I prefer. Since I'm not really much of a console gamer anymore, I wouldn't label myself as a Sony fanboy.
I had a crappy, old Dell PC for about 7 years. I played only a few PC games; BF2 being the most demanding, which I played at dirt low settings (and still only got about 20 FPS). I finally got enough money together to build a performance computer. I really got into PC gaming after this. I love Steam, and basically have a Team Fortress 2 addiction. This caused the first person shooter to become my favorite genre.
I created the
TF2 RPG, and continue to play games constantly.
TF2 RPG you say?? I've never been a fan of non-video game RPGs, mostly because I have never played one haha, but Team Fortress would be the game to pull me in. I'm sure there would be a few Dtoiders who would cream themselves over this.
YOU'RE AWESOME!
also, welcome :)
