Starcraft Lan Party
xColoradoGamerx | 6:42 PM on 05.19.2008 10 comments

For the past couple of weeks every Sunday, a friend of mine has been hosting a Starcraft Lan Party. Seriously I don't remember that game being this fun. Although I think I'm going to have to relearn the strategy because the Terran race seems pretty lame compared to the Protoss. My best attempts at base defense were proven futile and the opposing team steam rolled us twice in the same night with Zerg+Protoss teams. *sigh* If anyone has some tips for either playing a better Terran game let me know.

Strangely enough, lately my friends have been getting back into SC and having some LANs. I have no tips though, I suck at Starcraft...

You know how to micro effectively, right? Because that can mean the difference between winning and losing. Check out some professional Korean StarCraft players on Youtube to see what I mean.

Well, specifically, what race or group of units are giving you the most trouble when you take them on?

One tip would be to use the spells/tech more effectively. A well-placed EMP will take out the shields of any toss and kill their energy. One spider mine can wipe out a bunch of zerglings.

Goliaths and tanks are a good combo, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Match those with some valkyries/wraiths for air support, and maybe some marines and medics, too

Man, I miss SC. I only played it once for nostalgia since I got my Xbox 360 in November. I've always been more of a zerg man myself.
