This is my first HDTV...so I went big and went home, and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon.... I had to cut the top off my TV stand to make it fit, but it was worth it. =D
Killzone2, Burnout: Paradise, Warhawk, or BlazBlue anyone?
I actually just bought a 37" 1080p LCD at best buy today. It was open box priced at $549.99 and there was an extra 20% off for the 4th of July weekend.
So 37" 1080p LCD for $440? STEAL
...though its not going to be used until I move into my apartment next semester... and my roommates will use it, but its mine afterward!
nice im sure it feels good to have your first HD TV. Why RCA though? I personally can't wait to go buy a Samsung LED!!!!!! OMG THEY ARE BETTER THAN RL!!!
Samsung is a little out of my budget for what they offer. Also, they infuriate me with the bloated constrast Ratios.
The RCA was in my budget and I got a good deal on it. This RCA, and the Samsung were sitting side by side, and as for picture quality, I personally couldn't tell a difference. Except about 450$ in a price tag.
I may mount it to the wall on down the road, but it's fine for now. My house is piled wall to wall junk, and I need to do some MAJOR pitching and shoving to get rid of crap I don't need/use anymore.

Yeah, I played some Killzone2 on it earlier, and there is just soo much screen. Maybe I'll get used to it. Then again, I'm going from a 22" standard Tube Television. *lol*

40" is really a little too big I think, I went to get a 32" but they didn't have the one I wanted in stock.
I think 32" are the perfect size for gaming. I got a 50 downstairs, and when I hooked up my PS3 to that baby...I went back to my 32 inch.
Shame 1440x900 doesn't translate well, or I'd have this lappy hooked up HDMI 24/7. Fuck the PS3, I can't play a good version of TF2 on it.
Congratulations...you will not be disappointed. I, too, have 40" of sexy (and it's wall-mounted to boot).
