What Gnat Trap said, you can easily enough claim the pc version by contacting Steam Support. They're good about it and take that sort of thing very seriously.
Valve has legendary customer service. Explain to them your dilemma, and they well help you. They've given me refunds on games that i've payed through pay pal. They are hands down, the best customer service i've ever dealt with.
