I don't care if you thought Kane & Lynch was shitty, let me find out for myself ok?
I don't care if assassins creed was "overhyped let down".
Blah, blah, blah...what makes you so smart anyway?
The idea of the "video game review" is so stupid. Does anyone not understand the concept of rentals!?!? Fuck a journalist, or a blogger who goes out of there way to fuckin' slam on a game, what makes your opinon so good anyway? There are no exactly right opinons, because they are only thoughts. Don't sit there as a writer and review shit like everyone is an idiot and doesn't know about enjoyable games. And then writers that have the nerve to critize something based on the graphics of the game, or the audio, shut uppp!
Do any of you guys reallize that a good game will sell itself no matter of the review? Trust me, its true, it might not be the next fuckin' halo 3, but people forget that some games are not sold all over the world, and some games dont have 5 million dollar marketing campaigns. God damn folks, its the fuckin' internets give it a rest, nobody gives a shit if you cancel your gamespot subscription or your ign subscription, why the hell would you pay for a suscription on the internet anyway, theres not that much to gain from it.
In the end, I feel like people spend more time bitching about games, than they play them.
Don't like a game, dont play it, theres tons more games you might like out there, and chances are, if you have something to complain about, someone has already beat you to it.
This whole hoopla about IGN, and Gamespot, fuck it man, it's petty bullshit, and its not even about videogames if you think about it. So what if jeff got fired from GS, yeah it sucks but people get layed off shit happens, and you bet your ass he'll be able to find a job just as good, his resume is already out and about, im sure of it. ANd all that shit about IGN and PA, blahhh who cares, some dude off IGN gets all heated up, screw him, why would anyone listen to an IGN podcast anyway, are they really good or something?....i doubt it.
Reviews suck ass, and there stupid. Somebody give me one damn reason why you should base everything off one persons review, when you could rent the game for yourself?

But yeah...Jericho[/b] was loads of fun besides the horrible ending. I would get a sequel fo'sho! And I am uber excited for [i]Turok even though it could suck big balls.
How many times has this been proven wrong to me? Let's count:
- Beyond Good & Evil
- Psychonauts
- Shenmue
- Okami
- Arcanum
- Psi-Ops
- Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
- Phantom Dust
- Homeworld 2
- Indigo Prophecy
- Planescape: Torment
- Viva Pinanta
...I could go on and on. Look at how many good games failed.
Well, at least 3/4 of Indigo Prophecy were good...I think it deserves to be on the list.
But thats all commercialy speaking you see? They didn't make as much money as others, and thats because of marketing. The game will sell itself, but not in mounumetal porportions.
And you dopnt have top rent everygaem realeased, jsut rent the ones that intrest you.
And those people that are paid to review games, theres no school you can go to that makes a review broad enough for anyone, and in todays world these damn reviweres are so opinonated that it is really fuckin' flawed. Sometimes you have to forget the sales of a game, unless you yourself are a developer, units sold shouldn't matter to you, i mean if your into all that money shit thats cool i guess, but thats not what games are about. Take a game thats liscened and one thats a orginal IP, which one do you think will come out better, and which one do you think obviously cost less to make? Money shouldn't matter to gamers, all new games are pretty much 59.99 a pop now, you can rent them at BB for about 8 bucks, or you can use gamefly.
and ICO was good because it was a good looking game, and it was unique as a game experince, it wasnt just jump here shoot that.
Did you get a BAD review? Aw.... it's OK... it's OK... shhh... shhh... it's OK. U_U
I leik Halo, he is a cool guy. eh kills aleins and is not afraid of anything.
...sorry I couldnt resist. By the way, Variable Gear is right. A lot of the best games ever made sold very poorly
in all these years on the internets I've learned wich sites give reviews in a way that suits me, I mean, if they say a game SUCKS and I rent it, generally I will feel the same afterwards, simply because we have the same taste :-) ( very handy!)
also my videogame-dealer ( he's one of the real ones, getting more rare by the day sadly enough ) has about exactly the same idea about games as I do so his opinion matters a lot to me as well... just the same with my friends though...
I think its like that for most people though and I really don't see the point in getting so wound up about people posting reviews on their sites... freedom of speech and all that :-D in that spirit I won't comment on the pointlessness of this post ;-)
In regards to one of your above comments:
None of those games were commercially successful in the least. Studios went under over those games, people lost jobs over those incredible games not selling. You can not say "they didn't do as well as other games". They didn't do well by any standard of measure. They did not "sell themselves" by being good. They failed because they did not get the exposure they needed. Stop being a tard.
