They're not giving the game a high fucking review then, are they?
I don't get fucking internet people. Gamespot reviews a game 11/10 and they are sponsored by the game, so people throw a shitfit.
Dtoid is sponsored by a game, a game that is giving the community a 360 in a contest, but says the game is shit, and people STILL throw a shitfit.
It's not Kotaku or Joystiq. They don't have deep pockets. So they have to sometimes do sponsorship, and by doing so, the site design will change. This isn't the fucking first time they've done it, just get the fuck over it.
Please god can you put some more sentences in here to make this cblog actually make sense. At the moment it reads "There is an advert for Turning point, somebody said something about turning point, somebody will be fired". Please, explain.

I just find it a bit funny, thats all.
You guys are flipping out big time, proving jims point about most of you guys on DTOID being way to whiney.
But unlike pretty much all of destructoid, I actually didn't think the demo was all that bad, and due to the somewhat unique premise (a WW2 shooter, but in ZOMG ALTERNATE HISTORY) and the fact that I'm totally gay for the aformentioned alternate history scenarios, I'll be at least renting the full game.

Gamespot sponsored their site with K&L, gave the game bad marks and then fired the editor that reviewed it. Controversy ensues.
Destructoid reviewed the DEMO, site sponsorship still happens, even if the game is shit, the ads still stay up because Dtoid isn't prone to the pressures of selling out your reviews.
If you're going to joke about something like this, actually work the joke into the original post. Coming into this 15 minutes later and having to tell us all a joke means you either didn't mean for it to be a joke, and you're backpedaling to save face, or you suck at telling jokes.
Either way, "Make Hidden" and this all goes away.
I've done my best to keep our ad biz very segregated from our editorial, so nothing like what Gerstmann went through will happen here. Sometimes we'll run a site skin for a game we happen to love (god of war for the psp did a skin with us, for example) and that may look fishy, but I guess its the nature of running ads. They are a necessary evil as stuff like cblogs sre bandwidth and hard drive intensive.

I'll take retard or unfunny retard as a label, It doesn't really matter to me, and it REALLY doesn't matter when certain people apply it to you. So what if I made a mistake, your not going to get a DTOID user of the year award just for pointing it out, and I think thats what a lot of you try to do. You try to make the most epic comments ever, when in reality most people don't even look through the comments on disscussions like these, because its not a disscussion, it is a flame war.
I'm just glad there is a line where people can make thier own choices instead of jumping on the flame bandwagon.
And I don't see how some of you don't understand that I'm not bashing DTOID at all, I automaticlly assumed the Ad was just set up in the system, just like how the left and right ads are chicks in lingere and stuff.
I could go off on a rant about how some users clog the CBLOGS up all day with pointless post about this or that, and then I could rant about how those post bury good articles that are actaully intersting to read. I could go on for days, there are tons of people on the Cblogs that do not write good material but decide to make 5 to 10 post a day anyway. I myself do not usually have the much to write about, so I only post about 1 to 3 times a week.
And I did establish this post was a joke pretty early on, the comments just stacked so fast I didn't have time, seriously you guys, If i really thought DTOID was selling out don't you think I would of actually put my reasoning down along with this post? I know I'm not a DTOID saint, but I don't usually make a bunch of shitty post.
