The parts where the game recreates classic arcade games are hilarious, too. Joust, Missle Command, Gauntlet, and Frogger all make appearances as minigames.
The Super Happy Fun Fun level is also filled with some good video game (and a few anime) jokes. There are statues of Santa's Little Helper with markings similar to Ameratsu from Okami, complete with the big disc on his back. He's also holding a keyblade in his mouth.
Oh, but the best part is the Pokemon battles at the end of each section of that level. They're turn based and everything. XD
I've put around 12 hours into it and almost have every achievement (Just need to beat the level target times). I'm going to miss this game when I take it back.

Haha.
TOUCHDOWN THURMAN THOMAS, I waiting for them to yell that.

I don't know if this is also in the English version but in the German one if you listen to Sonic's phrases, he sometimes says (loosely translated) "I don't know anymore why I'm hating that Eggman guy..."
@ tsunamikitsune: Are the Pokémon-like battle at the end of the Super Happy Fun Fun Game level sections playable in the 360 version?

Yeah, I heard that the Wii and PS2 versions were kind of lacking compared to the 360 version (and the PS3 version, I imagine). The Pokemon battles are playable in the 360 version.
I also heard that there was no Springfield in the Wii/PS2 versions. Is that true? There should be like, an overworld kinda place that you can wander around in.

In the Wii version (and thus also in the PS2 version, I suppose), you can only explore the Simpsons' house, their backyard and the area where you select the video game worlds to get the keycards. So there is an "overworld" but it's not that big.
