Orange Box will give you the most bang for your buck and most hours of enjoyment, but god damn it SMG is amazing. I voted Orange Box, but you really need both.

I say Orange box but then I dislike Mario long time. Mario 64 can fuck right off for destroying hours of my childhood. I got to 57 stars and then gave up.

All hatred aside, I'm putting this down to rational thinking; you'll get more use out of your Orange Box. Not only does it have the online and the replay value, but it also has the story. Plus, you can do the mods thing, the friends thing, the stick HL2 maps into Portal thing, etc. and after all that, it's also cheaper.

But ignore all that because this is the pivot:
you should go with what you'll regret less.

Galaxy, because Orange Box is not near the value it is for 360 as it is for PC. You get a gimped out TF2, no mods for HL2, and you're gonna pay for any new Portal content, if any ever comes out. I know you don't have a PC and all, but still... there's no inferior version of Galaxy out there.

Both are really good If you could only get one Orange box will probably have a longer lifespan with all the online play of TF2 and some solid single player Portal,HL etc. Depending on the person though SMG may warrent multiple playthroughs.

TF2 is the best XBL game yet. I think that it's a lot more fun on 360 than PC. There is more teamwork thanks to most people having headsets. Also, it looks amazing on an HDTV. You could hook your comp up to a tv, but it's not the same.

Didn't you already get the Orange Box? I remember a post from way back (2-3 weeks) where you said you couldn't play Portal on your Mac and made it sound like you were playing it right then.

If so, get the Orange Box online will be stacked full right now and you can always get Mario later. Besides, I hear there's cake involved....

I'm playing through both right now and I don't envy your decision. I can't see you being disappointed with either though. Just go with whatever you're in the mood for most ... I'm sure you'll be happy either way. I would like to chime in though, as someone who's not a fan of 3D Mario, Galaxy is blowing my socks off.
