Incon-fucking-cievable. I'm not going to like. I enjoyed the fuck outta this movie. Although it was made before my time, and I'm too young to know of shit like this, (my teacher freaked out today when I made a Soylent Green reference.) but any movie with Fred Savage and his grandfather telling the story of a Zorro look-a-like with a band of pirates will get 7 thumbs up from me. So imagine my excitement when I learn that The 1987 classic was being made into a video game. YEEE! The Princess Bride, the Rob Reiner-directed 1987 cinematic classic, will undergo a transformation of fairy tale proportions when it appears in video game form next spring. Written by William Goldman, the film starred Cary Elwes (top), Robin Wright Penn (bottom), Andre the Giant, and Mandy Patinkin. They CANNOT screw this game up. I swear I've seen this movie at least 100 times, and my feelings for the characters alone are extremely emphatic. [You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.] All I know is that they CANNOT fuck this game up. If they're going to do it, they've got to do it perfectly. Adventure themed, too. I will go fucking Inigo Montoya on their asses if they screw this game up. Source And yes, I realize its based on a book. I loved the book, but the movie.... WOW. Great fucking film. <3 Rob Reiner.

In the 30th anniversary of the book, the writer includes the first chapter of the sequel to Princess Bride, It's called Buttercup's Baby and the first chapter is called Fezzik Dies. Goldman (the author) also promises that the sequel will be done by the 35th anniversary (2009) but in Jan of 2007 he said it isn't written and he's having trouble writing it (he's 75 so I'm cutting him some slack.)
